Ring ‘Round the Moon was the second show I directed in Japan. I took over a production in trouble at six weeks to curtain and with the help of an incredible cast, pulled it out of the fire. Six weeks may sound like a lot, but all of the performers and I had day jobs at the time, so rehearsal hours were limited.
I have a certain skill at making things work in the time available to me.
This show is a multi-door, large cast farce and the challenge as a director is to keep things moving. If the pacing flags, the show falls apart.
