If you’re joining this update podcast late, listen to this episode before jumping up to the present. (Also, this podcast is intended for people who already know me. If you’re a stranger, feel free to listen, but I make no claims that any of this will be interesting to you.)
In this very first episode, I do a brief overview of my life since I left Canada in 2003 and go on to give an update of the last week or so of what I’ve been working on, creatively speaking.
Summary:
Overview
- moved to Japan, worked various jobs
- left my full-time IT job in 2010, and have freelanced since
- Since 2006, I’ve run the volunteer-based, non-profit, 122 year-old Yokohama Theatre Group (YTG)
- As a freelancer, I am primarily doing photography, videography, video editing, and audio editing, but I’ve done a whole bunch of stuff.
- I have more unreleased podcast episodes than I do released ones– something I hope to remedy in 2023
- Podcasts:
- Miss Charlotte’s Finishing School for Wayward Readers(season 1 released, season 2 recorded), Does It Hold Up (unreleased), Experts go to the Movies (4 episodes recorded, 3 edited, 0 released), and an interview podcast (2 episodes recorded, 0 released)
Update
- second meeting with Catherine Nguyen about the show we hope to create and tour
- prepping for the first meeting of the team that will create YTG’s first showcase of 2023
- gearing up to get second season of Miss Charlotte’s Finishing School for Wayward Readers edited and dropped
- Peter Kambasis and I also gearing up to go to a monthly recording schedule for Does It Hold Up
