Hi! Still struggling with sound issues, but not time to troubleshoot.
Here are the updates:
YTG Jekyll and Hyde showcase
- One rehearsal
- We lost our Tuesday slot due having to resolve a double-booking of the next Nerd Nite
- Tuesdays were the days that we had the mainspace all day
- Difficult to move ½ way through the day
- 30 – 45 minute setup and strike
- We’ll be in on Thursday again this week
- Just rehearsed Monday so far this week (as of Tuesday recording). A bit of an anaemic rehearsal, if you ask me. Kate came in, but she’s really only available for an hour or two in the afternoon, so it looks like her involvement is just that of a movement coach, not as a deviser.
- Marie will be at rehearsal next Monday
- It had looked like we had several more interns joining us, but we don’t. So there are only four people who will end up on stage– three if you count me out, because at the moment we don’t have anyone else doing any technical things.
- This would all be fine if I wasn’t scrambling for paid work at the same time
- I’m feeling pretty daunted right now
Podcasts:
- No updates. Not likely to start editing again until April or later at this rate.
Nerd Nite
- No updates, except that we almost lost our March booking to a mistake at the venue and I had to give up the YTG Tuesday slot in exchange
Photography
- Good news: the client got back to me and seems to have accepted my estimate
- Had the meeting this morning with the client
- She didn’t have a place in mind, so I will need to scout a location TOMORROW
- Had a last-minute shoot for an NPO conference this weekend
- Horrible lighting, but I think I got some good shots
- Not sure when I’ll have editing timem
- They paid me less than I’d normally charge for a corporate job, so I’ll work on it day by day, but no rush treatment when I have so many other things going on
Capan show
- I canceled my meeting with Catherine last week and put it off to April
- I can’t focus on it at all.
Big job
- Got some help on the cover letter
- Was planning to rewrite today but got stuck at the post office for three hours to finish the bank account transfer from the old union treasurer to me
- When am I going to finish this?
Other
- That union thing really has me stressed
- Tax season!
Okay, so that’s it. I will probably continue to feel stressed until I get through this month. Andrew out.
