Holiday times are a hard time to get anything down on “tape”, so thanks for your patience.

One advantage of the tardiness of this update is that the first meeting for the March show happened right before I recorded it.

Apologies again for the audio quality. I’m recording late at night so I can’t go fully on-voice, and I also can’t properly dial in my mic amp settings. I hope to spend some time with that before the next recording, which I will do during the day.

If this is your first time listening, I suggest starting with Update #1 before returning to this episode.

Summary:

  • Meeting for the March show took place
  • No news on the development of the Japan/Canada tour show (“The Capan Show” from here on out)
  • “Does It Hold Up” podcast still looking for a co-host
  • Going to tax office this week to try and clarify YTG‘s non-profit status

Year-In-Review

  • I talk about the main show I worked on last year, Matsukaze
    • both the spring showcase and the summer mainstage show
    • photos available ::here::
  • Meeting and collaborating with ProEnglish Theatre, based in Kyiv
    • Culminated (for now) in September/October cultural exchange co-production of Bereginya and The Grateful Crane
    • Photos of the YTG side available ::here::
  • No other significant projects that I could remember that weren’t just part of struggling to live
    • no booked photo shoots, but I continue to hone my skill at shooting candid kid photos through my work for other volunteer orgs
    • two video projects, both commercial
