The play 39, a one-person show about an astronaut (an allegory for the experience of being a long-term expatriate) which I toured to Canada, went through several drafts before it hit the Fringe festival stages. The whole process started with 3 months of devising under director Kimberly Tierney, and the show built itself from there.

It started as a two-person, 90 minute show, with plans to expand the cast, but the financial reality of touring it to another country encouraged me to rewrite it into a one-person, 60 minute show.
