You may remember that I shot the dress rehearsal for this show and posted about it last week. Well, here are some shots of the performance.
I was in charge of the video for this performance, but I also took photos on opening night. Good thing I did, because some of the costumes had changed since the dress rehearsal that I’d shot earlier in the week. My movement was more limited with an audience in the house, but I caught the tail end of a rehearsal when I arrived and was able to grab some photos that weren’t just shot from the back row.
This is the kind of event that I like to shoot. The relatively low light is challenging, but with the stage lighting I don’t need to work so hard to make the photos pop the way I do when I’m shooting events in community centres with overhead fluorescent lighting.
